140) Many amongst you do not wish to change themselves in their inner nature, and a change of the inner nature is particularly unattractive to those amongst you who are well provided for and secure to a certain extent in economic and social respects, and therefore who only have minor problems if indeed any at all; but there are also those amongst you who are captured by and dependent on your religion and who hold fast to your religious, ideological or philosophical imaginations, or who are ready simply to accept all things of the existence and your own self, and to live with them just as they happen to be or happen to impinge upon you in any quite distinct or altered kind and wise whatsoever. 140) Manch einer von euch wünscht nicht, sich zu verändern in seinem Wesen, wobei besonders ihr unter euch einer Wesensveränderung abgeneigt seid, welche ihr in wirtschaftlicher und sozialer Hinsicht einigermassen wohlversorgt und gesichert seid und folglich keine oder nur geringe Probleme habt; doch da seid auch ihr unter euch, welche ihr von eurer Religion gefangen und abhängig seid und die ihr an euren religiösen, ideologischen oder philosophischen Vorstellungen festhaltet oder die ihr bereit seid, alle Dinge des Daseins und euer Selbst einfach so hinzunehmen und damit zu leben, wie sie eben gerade sind oder auf euch einwirken in irgendeiner ganz bestimmten oder veränderten Art und Weise.
141) However, all this is wrong and it is a life-attitude that does not correspond with the truth and reality, and indeed not with the guidelines of the creational laws and recommendations either, which are not difficult to recognise and to fulfil, indeed even if they do appear to be too heavy and too power-destroying for you to recognise and to fulfil, because you are too weak towards yourselves and, what is more too cowardly to separate yourselves from the false of your individuality which gives you so much apparent joy and apparent wellbeing if you live according to your Ausartungen, your vices and pathological cravings, your hatred, your unfreedom, disharmony and the unpeace as well as your pathological craving for revenge and all other terrible things. 141) All das ist jedoch falsch und eine Lebenseinstellung, die nicht mit der Wahrheit und Wirklichkeit übereinstimmt, und zwar auch nicht mit den Richtlinien der schöpferischen Gesetze und Gebote, die nicht schwierig zu erkennen und zu erfüllen sind, und zwar auch dann nicht, wenn sie euch zum Erkennen und Erfüllen zu schwer und zu kraftverzehrend erscheinen, weil ihr zu weich gegen euch selbst und zudem zu feige seid, um euch vom Falschen eurer Individualität zu trennen, das euch so viel Scheinfreude und Scheinwohlsein bereitet, wenn ihr euren Ausartungen nachlebt, euren Lastern und Süchten, eurem Hass, eurer Unfreiheit, Disharmonie und dem Unfrieden sowie eurer Rachsucht und allen sonstigen Übeln.
142) In all this doing and acting with regard to your Ausartungen, you human beings of Earth are blocked off towards the truth, because of which you also do not search for the truth and also cannot fathom it out, therefore it is pointless and nonsensical for you to complain about all the Ausartungen of the society, which are fundamentally given in yourselves and bring forth malicious effects which lead to further misforming of your inner nature, as a result of which you sink in yourselves and in the society ever more deeply into a negation of the truth and into new Ausartungen time and time again. 142) In all diesem Tun und Wirken in bezug auf eure Ausartungen seid ihr, Menschen der Erde, blockiert gegenüber der Wahrheit, wodurch ihr auch nicht nach der Wahrheit forscht und sie auch nicht ergründen könnt, so es für euch zwecklos und unsinnig ist, gegen all die Ausartungen der Gesellschaft zu schimpfen, die in euch selbst grundlegend gegeben sind und bösartige Wirkungen hervorrufen, die zur weiteren Missgestaltung eures Wesens führen, wodurch ihr in euch selbst und in der Gesellschaft stetig tiefer in eine Negierung der Wahrheit und in immer wieder neuen Ausartungen versinkt.
143) Truly, many amongst you create illusions for themselves and assume that they must undertake a fundamental developmental change in their inner nature, however with the aspect that they need to be helped with bringing about the developmental change and that they must be shown the way thereto; but truthly, such a way cannot be shown, because each process in yourselves for the developmental change of your own inner nature, i.e. of the individuality and attitudes, etc., is purely individual or personal and can only be fulfilled by those human beings amongst you who work on it themselves. 143) Wahrlich, viele unter euch machen sich selbst etwas vor und wähnen, eine fundamentale Wandlung ihres Wesens herbeiführen zu müssen, jedoch mit dem Aspekt, dass ihnen beim Zustandebringen der Wandlung geholfen werden und ihnen dazu der Weg gezeigt werden müsse, doch wahrheitlich kann ein solcher Weg nicht gewiesen werden, weil jeder Vorgang in euch zur Wandlung des eigenen Wesens resp. der Individualität und Einstellung usw. rein individuell resp. persönlich ist und nur von jenem von euch Menschen vollzogen werden kann, der sich eigens damit beschäftigt.
144) And those of you who search for help in order to be shown a way in the form of a method or a system for the developmental change of your own inner nature, those are not really seriously working on an effective developmental change, because everything is merely directed towards having others do everything in order to bring about the apparently desired developmental change, whereas there is no fundamental interest in a developmental change of the inner nature, but only an interest in having others use a method or a system which is intended to lead to the apparently wished for developmental change of your own individuality with only minor help from yourselves. 144) Und wer von euch nach Hilfe sucht, damit ihm ein Weg durch eine Methode oder ein System zur Wandlung des eigenen Wesens gewiesen werden soll, der befasst sich nicht wirklich ernsthaft mit einer effectiven Wandlung, weil alles nur darauf ausgerichtet ist, dass andere alles tun sollen, um die scheinbar gewünschte Wandlung herbeizuführen, während eigens kein grundlegendes Interesse an einer Wesenswandlung besteht, sondern nur ein Interesse daran, dass andere eine Methode oder ein System anwenden sollen, das mit nur geringer eigener Hilfe zur scheinbar gewünschten Wandlung der eigenen Individualität führen soll.
145) But truly, each way, each method or each system for the developmental change of the inner nature is purely individual, i.e. personal and cannot be transferred to another by you, therefore it would be exceedingly foolish to name a way, a method or a system; if this however were to be done, then you would only be following an imitation, i.e. a pattern, and thereby taking over the purely individual way, i.e. the method or the system of another and copying the entire thing into yourselves, through which you would unavoidably get yourselves into difficulties and hardships that are based in the thoughts, feelings, consciousness and psyche, namely through an adapting to an external individuality and through an approval of the same, which without doubt brings forth confusion in your own mental-block and leads to chaos in the psyche and consciousness. 145) Doch wahrlich, jeder Weg, jede Methode oder jedes System zur Wandlung des Wesens ist rein individuell resp. persönlich und kann nicht auf einen anderen von euch übertragen werden, also wäre es äusserst töricht, einen Weg, eine Methode oder ein System zu nennen; würde das aber doch getan, dann würdet ihr nur einer Nachahmung resp. einer Schablone folgen und damit den rein individuellen Weg resp. die Methode oder das System eines andern übernehmen und das Ganze in euch hineinkopieren, wodurch ihr unweigerlich in gedankliche, gefühlsmässige, bewusstseinsmässige und psychische Schwierigkeiten und Nöte geraten würdet, und zwar durch ein Anpassen an eine fremde Individualität und durch ein Billigen derselben, was ohne Zweifel Verwirrung im eigenen Mentalblock hervorruft und zur psychischen und bewusstseinsmässigen Unordnung führt.
146) This means, if you do such a thing, that you set up the authority of one of your fellow human beings in yourselves, through which enormous conflicts are brought forth between yourselves and the external authority, as a result of which you believe that you are obliged to do this or that which is told and dictated to you, although you are incapable of actually doing it, because you cannot exchange your inner nature with that of one of your fellow human beings, but must be yourselves and free in yourselves in every wise, therefore two inner natures cannot be existent in you either. 146) Das bedeutet, wenn ihr solches tut, dass ihr die Autorität eines eurer Mitmenschen in euch errichtet, wodurch ungeheure Konflikte zwischen euch und der fremden Autorität hervorgerufen werden, wodurch ihr wähnt, dass ihr dieses oder jenes tun müsstet, was euch vorgesagt und diktiert wird, obwohl ihr unfähig seid, es wirklich zu tun, weil ihr nicht euer Wesen mit dem eines eurer Mitmenschen austauschen könnt, sondern in jeder Beziehung euch selbst und in euch frei sein müsst, so auch nicht zwei Wesen in euch existent sein können.
147) You human beings of Earth, you are individual natures who have your own thoughts and feelings and well as your own and therefore individual intentions and inclinations, hardships and needs as well as wishes which can in no kind and wise be integrated in an external method or an external system which you believe you must follow. 147) Ihr Menschen der Erde, ihr seid Einzelwesen, die ihr eure eigenen Gedanken und Gefühle sowie eure eigenen und also individuellen Absichten und Neigungen, Nöte und Bedürfnisse sowie Wünsche habt, die sich in keiner Art und Weise in eine fremde Methode oder in ein fremdes System einordnen lassen, wovon ihr wähnt, dass ihr dieser resp. ihr folgen müsstet.
148) In all respects, an external authority stands in opposition to your own person and dignity, therefore the recognition of an external authority in yourselves is a contradiction to your own inner freedom and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. 148) Eine fremde Autorität steht alleweil im Gegensatz zu eurer eigenen Person und Würde, folglich das Anerkennen einer fremden Autorität in euch selbst ein Widerspruch zu eurer eigenen inneren Freiheit ist und unter keinen Umständen geduldet werden kann.
149) If you tolerate it nevertheless, then you are no longer yourselves, but rather you lead an existence of doubtfulness and therefore a life between the external method, i.e. the external system, i.e. an external ideology and the effective reality of your true life. 149) Duldet ihr es aber trotzdem, dann seid ihr nicht mehr euch selbst, sondern ihr führt ein Dasein der Zwiespältigkeit und also ein Leben zwischen der fremden Methode resp. dem fremden System resp. einer fremden Ideologie und zwischen der effectiven Realität eures wirklichen Lebens.
150) If you allow to let yourselves in for an attempt in such a wise that brings your own inner nature into consonance with the external authority, i.e. the external ideology, then you demolish your own self-consciousness and suppress your entirely own individuality. 150) Lasst ihr es zu, euch in einen Versuch einzulassen in der Weise, euch in eurem Wesen mit der fremden Autorität resp. der fremden Ideologie in Einklang zu bringen, dann demoliert ihr euer eigenes Selbstbewusstsein und unterdrückt eure ureigene Individualität.
151) The actual truth of your self is not anchored in the external authority, i.e. ideology, but solely and alone in you yourselves, and indeed in that which you effectively are. 151) Nicht in der fremden Autorität resp. Ideologie ist die eigentliche Wahrheit eures Selbsts verankert, sondern einzig und allein in euch selbst, und zwar in dem, was ihr effectiv seid.
152) Therefore, you shall consider that, if you fathom yourselves, you do not direct yourselves according to others, not according to an external authority, i.e. not according to an external ideology, but only according to yourselves and according to what you truthfully are and in all honesty want to be and also strive to be; however, if you do not follow this guidance then you will remain during the time of your life as human beings who live from the authority of others and are subserviently dependent on them in debasing submissiveness. 152) Also sollt ihr bedenken, dass ihr, wenn ihr euch selbst ergründet, ihr euch nicht nach anderen ausrichtet, nicht nach einer fremden Autorität resp. nicht nach einer fremden Ideologie, sondern nur nach euch selbst und nach dem, was ihr wahrhaftig seid und in aller Aufrichtigkeit sein wollt und euch auch darum bemüht; tut ihr jedoch nicht dieser Weisung gleich, dann bleibt ihr Zeit eures Lebens Menschen, die von der Autorität anderer leben und ihnen hörig sind in erniedrigender Demut.
153) If you wish to change yourselves, human beings of Earth, and if in doing so you demand that you shall be told how you shall do this, then it may very well appear upright that you really want to do it, but that does not correspond to the truth, because truthly you are being unhonest and do not want it, since you are calling for an external authority which is supposed to help you to achieve a new inner regulation of your inner nature, therefore you are hoping to attain a new individuality through it and through its method, i.e. its system, but this is truly not possible because only you yourselves can change yourselves fundamentally through your own motivation, initiative and power, therefore you must also go your own way. 153) Wünscht ihr euch zu wandeln, Menschen der Erde, und fordert ihr dabei, dass euch gesagt werde, wie ihr das tun sollt, so mag das wohl aufrichtig erscheinen, dass ihr es wirklich tun wollt, doch entspricht das nicht der Wahrheit, denn wahrheitlich seid ihr unehrlich und wollt es nicht, denn ihr verlangt nach einer äusseren Autorität, die euch zu einer neuen inneren Ordnung eures Wesens verhelfen soll, so ihr also hofft, durch sie und durch ihre Methode resp. ihr System zu einer neuen Individualität zu gelangen, doch ist das wahrlich nicht möglich, weil nur ihr selbst euch grundlegend durch eigene Motivation, Initiative und Kraft wandeln könnt, folglich ihr auch euren eigenen Weg gehen müsst.
154) An external authority is never able to change your inner nature, your individuality and create a new inner regulation in yourselves, but truly only yourselves; if, however, an external attempt is made nevertheless to impose a new regulation of your inner nature, i.e. your individuality, then an enormous chaos will inevitably arise in you, through which you are cast into dependency and confusion. 154) Niemals vermag eine äussere Autorität euer Wesen, eure Individualität, zu ändern und eine neue innere Ordnung in euch zu schaffen, sondern wirklich nur ihr selbst; wird jedoch trotzdem von ausserhalb versucht, euch eine neue Ordnung eures Wesens resp. eurer Individualität aufzuerlegen, dann entsteht zwangsläufig eine ungeheure Unordnung in euch, durch die ihr in Abhängigkeit und Verwirrung gestürzt werdet.
155) This fact, you human beings of Earth, is something to which you must respond with intellect and rationality, and recognise it as effective truth, so that you may understand that for your consciousness and for your inner nature no other authority than your own comes into consideration. 155) Dieser Tatsache, ihr Menschen der Erde, müsst ihr mit Verstand und Vernunft begegnen und sie als effective Wahrheit erkennen, auf dass ihr begreift, dass für euer Bewusstsein und für euer Wesen keine andere Autorität als eure eigene in Betracht kommt.
156) If you read and follow a book or other scripts, if you listen to a teacher, to your friends, parents, brothers and sisters, acquaintances, to the other partner in your partnership – whether man or woman – or to an authority or to the society, etc. then this is already an outward and external authority by which you will be captured and made dependent if you do not autonomously think through in yourselves what you have read and heard and if you cannot in yourselves develop it into a valueful factor of the truth that is independent from the outside; but if you do not do this then you will continue to live only according to a pattern and a pre-given formula, as you have done since time immemorial, through enslaving yourselves to an external authority and ideology. 156) Lest und folgt ihr einem Buch oder sonst einem Schriftwerk, hört ihr auf einen Lehrer, auf eure Freunde, Eltern, Geschwister, Bekannte, auf den andern Teil eurer Partnerschaft – ob Mann oder Frau –, oder auf eine Obrigkeit oder auf die Gesellschaft usw., dann ist das bereits eine äussere und fremde Autorität, von der ihr gefangen und abhängig werdet, wenn ihr das Gelesene und Gehörte nicht selbständig in euch durchdenkt und ihr es nicht in euch selbst zu einem wertvollen und von aussen unabhängigen Faktor der Wahrheit aufarbeiten könnt; doch tut ihr das nicht, dann lebt ihr weiterhin nur einer Schablone und einer vorgegebenen Formel nach, wie ihr das schon seit alters her getan habt, indem ihr euch einer äusseren Autorität und Ideologie versklavt habt.
157) But if you really want to change yourselves in your consciousness and in your inner nature, and therefore also acquire a new and sound individuality for yourselves thereby, then you must ask yourselves how you can change to the good and better and how you can create in yourselves a new authority that is your own, by means of which you then put an end for all time to any external as well as your own, old authority, so that you are then only yourselves. 157) Doch wollt ihr euch wirklich in eurem Bewusstsein und in eurem Wesen wandeln und euch damit auch eine neue und gesunde Individualität zulegen, dann müsst ihr euch selbst fragen, wie ihr euch zum Guten und Besseren wandeln und in euch selbst eine eigene, neue Autorität schaffen könnt, wodurch ihr dann mit jeder äusseren und mit eurer eigenen, alten Autorität für immer ein Ende schafft und ihr nur noch euch selbst seid.
158) In order to achieve this, however, you must change yourselves down to the roots of your inner nature and existence, as well as in your consciousness which you must direct in its function into the right lines of right thoughts, out of which right and good feelings arise accordingly, through which you not only form your own psyche but also influence your inner nature towards a new individuality in a good wise. 158) Um das jedoch zu erreichen, müsst ihr euch bis in die Wurzeln eures Wesens und Seins wandeln, wie auch in eurem Bewusstsein, das ihr in seiner Funktion in die richtigen Bahnen richtiger Gedanken lenken müsst, woraus sich auch dementsprechend richtige und gute Gefühle ergeben, durch die ihr nicht nur eure Psyche formt, sondern auch in guter Weise euer Wesen zu einer neuen Individualität beeinflusst.
159) And if you act in this wise, then you will no longer be dependent on any external tradition through which an enormous dependency, indolence and subservience is imposed upon you, which has ruled you since time immemorial. 159) Und handelt ihr in dieser Weise, dann werdet ihr nicht länger von irgendeiner äusseren Tradition abhängig sein, durch die euch eine ungeheure Abhängigkeit, Trägheit und Unterwürfigkeit aufgedrängt wird, die euch seit alters her beherrscht.
160) Therefore, always consider that you can never expect any help whatsoever from outside with regard to your inner developmental change, but that you can in every wise only help yourselves; what can be given to you from the outside through external authorities is no more and no less than a direction or teaching of what you actually have to do, that you simply must change yourselves to the better; however, the way, the method or the system is something that you must find in yourselves, because this is a purely individual and therefore personal concern, since truly each human being is an individuum of their own which has their own individual ways, methods and systems in order to deal with both themselves and with the world around. 160) Bedenkt also immer, dass ihr in bezug auf eure innere Wandlung auf keinen Fall von aussen irgendwelche Hilfe erwarten, sondern euch in jeder Beziehung nur selbst helfen könnt; was euch von aussen durch äussere Autoritäten gegeben werden kann, ist nicht mehr und nicht weniger als nur eine Anweisung oder Lehre dessen, was ihr an und für sich zu tun habt, dass ihr euch eben zum Besseren ändern müsst; den Weg jedoch, die Methode oder das System müsst ihr in euch selbst finden, denn dies ist eine rein individuelle und also persönliche Angelegenheit, denn wahrlich ist jeder Mensch ein eigenes Individuum, das eigene individuelle Wege, Methoden und Systeme hat, um sowohl mit sich selbst als auch mit der Umwelt umzugehen.
161) Therefore there is no god, no tin god, no teacher, no dogma, no method and no system, no coercion, no cleric, no false or true prophet and also no other human being or other external influence through which you could be shown an individual way to an inner developmental change in your inner nature and consciousness, because this individuality is only given in yourselves. 161) Also gibt es keinen Gott, keinen Götzen, keinen Lehrer, keinen Glaubenssatz, keine Methode und kein System, keinen Zwang, keinen Geistlichen, keinen falschen oder wahrlichen Propheten, wie aber auch sonst keinen Menschen oder sonstigen äusseren Einfluss, wodurch euch zu einer inneren Wandlung in eurem Wesen und Bewusstsein ein individueller Weg gewiesen werden könnte, weil dieses Individuelle nur in euch selbst gegeben ist.
162) If you only want, you can reject any external authority and only accept your own and therefore truly only be yourselves, through which it arises that you no longer let yourselves be enmeshed in ideologies, philosophies and religions and also that you no longer go in fear of gods, tin gods or demons nor any of your fellow human beings, because if you finally recognise your own value, then you will not let yourselves be led any longer either through subservience, i.e. through submissiveness or treated as a second-class human being and even bullied, but rather you place yourselves in your value on the same level with your fellow human beings, without however raising yourselves up over them. 162) Wenn ihr nur wollt, könnt ihr jede äussere Autorität ablehnen und nur eure eigene gelten lassen und somit wahrlich nur noch euch selbst sein, wodurch sich ergibt, dass ihr euch nicht mehr in Ideologien, Philosophien und Religionen verstricken lasst und ihr euch ebenso nicht mehr vor Göttern, Götzen oder Dämonen fürchtet wie auch nicht vor irgendwelchen eurer Mitmenschen, denn wenn ihr endlich euren eigenen Wert erkennt, dann lasst ihr euch weder weiterhin durch Unterwürfigkeit resp. durch Demut leiten und als Menschen zweiter Klasse behandeln und gar mobben, sondern ihr stellt euch in eurem Wert auf die gleiche Stufe mit euren Mitmenschen, ohne euch dabei jedoch über sie zu erheben.
163) And when you are finally yourselves, then it will happen that you repudiate everything false that you as human beings have dragged around with yourselves for many generations, and truly when this happens then an ever greater energy will grow in you, out of which more and more power will unfold through which you will come to ever more, greater and more extensive life-capability as well as to greater vital courage which has inherent in itself very much more intensity, drive and vitality than can be entirely lived out, therefore large reserves are always available which can no longer run out. 163) Und wenn ihr endlich euch selbst seid, dann ergibt sich, dass ihr alles Falsche verwerft, das ihr als Menschen seit vielen Generationen mit euch herumschleppt, und wahrlich, wenn das geschieht, dann erwächst in euch immer grössere Energie, aus der sich immer mehr Kraft entfaltet, wodurch ihr stetig zu mehr, grösserer und umfangreicherer Lebensfähigkeit sowie zu grösserem Lebensmut kommt, der sehr viel mehr Intensität, Schwung und Vitalität in sich birgt, als gesamthaft ausgelebt werden kann, folglich immer grosse Reserven zur Verfügung stehen, die nicht mehr versiegen können.
164) And once you have achieved this and brought it to ample effect in yourselves, then you have liberated yourselves from the heaviest burden of your life and have cast off from yourselves everything connected with external authorities as well as the heavy weight of your own old and unworthy authority which is now replaced through a new, powerful and energy-rich one. 164) Und habt ihr das geschafft und in euch zur umfänglichen Wirkung gebracht, dann habt ihr euch von der schwersten Last eures Lebens befreit und alles an äusseren Autoritäten ebenso von euch abgeworfen wie auch das schwere Gewicht eurer eigenen alten und unwertigen Autorität, die nunmehr durch eine neue, kräftige und energiereiche ersetzt wird.
165) Truly, the very realisation of a great developmental change to the good and better is already in you if you become conscious that you have cast off everything that is old, valueless and unsuitable, and through that have won very much more energy and power, by means of which there is no longer any fear in you whatsoever of committing errors, which you inevitably must commit, since it is only out of these that you can learn. 165) Wahrlich ist allein schon die Feststellung einer grossen Wandlung zum Guten und Besseren in euch, wenn ihr euch bewusst werdet, dass ihr alles Alte, Wertlose, Untaugliche abgeschüttelt und dadurch sehr viel mehr Energie und Kraft gewonnen habt, wodurch es in euch auch keinerlei Furcht mehr gibt davor, Fehler zu begehen, die ihr unweigerlich begehen müsst, weil ihr nur aus diesen lernen könnt.
166) The very fact alone that you no longer have any fear of acting rightly or wrongly creates a lot of energy and power in you, and this alone already represents a developmental change in you. 166) Allein schon die Tatsache, dass ihr keine Furcht mehr davor habt, richtig oder falsch zu handeln, schafft in euch viel Energie und Kraft, und allein das stellt schon eine Wandlung in euch dar.
167) Truly, you human beings of Earth, you require a huge amount of energy and power in order to lead your lives, but you waste a very great part of this power and energy through your anxieties and through your fear, however if you turn to the real truth and through this dissipate your anxieties and fear as well as all the terrible things in yourselves consciously through intellect and rationality, then you will create new energy and power through this which independently brings forth a radical inner upheaval and actual developmental change. 167) Wahrlich, ihr Menschen der Erde, ihr benötigt ein ungeheures Ausmass an Energie und Kraft, um euer Leben führen zu können, doch einen sehr grossen Teil dieser Kraft und Energie verschwendet ihr durch eure Ängste und durch eure Furcht, doch wenn ihr euch der wahrlichen Wahrheit zuwendet und ihr dadurch eure Ängste und Furcht sowie alle Übel in euch bewusst durch Verstand und Vernunft abbaut, dann erschafft ihr dadurch neue Energie und Kraft, die eigenständig eine radikale innere Umwälzung und eigentliche Wandlung hervorrufen.
168) However, always be conscious that you are left up to yourselves in all these things and endeavours of the inner developmental change, because if you are serious about your inner developmental change as well as all the things that are connected with it, then truly in this process of the serious inner developmental change the status is given that you are actually alone with yourselves as human beings. 168) Seid euch jedoch stets bewusst, dass ihr in all diesen Dingen und Bemühungen der inneren Wandlung euch selbst überlassen seid, denn wenn es euch ernsthaft um eure innere Wandlung zu tun ist mitsamt allen Dingen, die damit zusammenhängen, dann ist wahrlich bei diesem Vorgang der ernsthaften inneren Wandlung der Zustand gegeben, dass ihr als Menschen tatsächlich mit euch allein seid.
169) In the process of your inner developmental change you cannot expect help from any god or tin god or from any human being or from anything else, because apart from yourselves there is nothing that could carry out your inner change. 169) In der Weise eurer inneren Wandlung könnt ihr nicht von irgendeinem Gott oder Götzen oder von irgendeinem Menschen oder von sonst etwas Hilfe erwarten, denn ausser euch selbst gibt es nichts, das euren inneren Wandel vollziehen könnte.
170) If, however, you consciously carry out your inner developmental change through your energy and power, then you will no longer expect help from outside, from anyone, from any god, tin god, angel, saint or demon or from the deceased, because in the conscious developmental change that you bring about in yourselves you are already free in yourselves and are able to see what your developmental change brings you in terms of that which is good, better and positive. 170) Vollzieht ihr aber bewusst euren inneren Wandel durch eure Energie und Kraft, dann erwartet ihr auch nicht länger Hilfe von aussen, von irgend jemandem, von einem Gott, Götzen, Engel, Heiligen oder Dämonen oder von Verstorbenen, denn im bewussten Wandel, den ihr in euch vollzieht, seid ihr bereits frei in euch selbst und vermögt zu sehen, was euer Wandel euch an Gutem, Besserem und Positivem bringt.
171) And consider, when you are free in yourselves that there is also great energy and power in you besides the fact that nothing else can be done wrong with regard to the developmental change of the inner nature; and once there is freedom in you then this has nothing to do with a defence, but rather with you being able to act rightly and freely henceforth according to your own discretion, precisely because you are free in yourselves and act out of the centre of your changed inner nature; and therefore you no longer have any anxiety and fear, but are henceforth capable of creating true love in yourselves and also living it out in yourselves to your fellow human beings, because when you have true love in you then you can do in the right and the good what you want. 171) Und bedenkt, wenn ihr in euch frei seid, dann ist in euch auch grosse Energie und Kraft, nebst dem, dass in bezug auf den Wesenswandel nichts mehr falsch getan werden kann; und ist Freiheit in euch, dann hat diese nichts mit einer Auflehnung zu tun, sondern damit, dass ihr fortan nach eigenem Ermessen richtig und frei handeln könnt, eben darum, weil ihr in euch selbst frei seid und vom Zentrum eures gewandelten Wesens aus handelt; und daher habt ihr auch keine Angst und keine Furcht mehr, sondern seid fortan fähig, wahre Liebe in euch zu erschaffen und sie in euch auch zu euren Mitmenschen auszuleben, denn wenn ihr wahrhaftige Liebe in euch habt, dann könnt ihr im Rechten und Guten tun, was ihr wollt.
172) And if you have created true love in yourselves, then out of this the process arises that you get to know yourselves and that you go in self-cognition in yourselves, which however in turn only happens through yourselves, but not through psychologists or psychiatrists and not either through any other analysts, through philosophers or those who arrogantly assume that they can be of assistance to you in the self-cognition, although they are not capable of this; therefore you truthly do not learn anything through them and you cannot learn anything about your self, but basically only about the one who wants to be helpful to you in the self-cognition. 172) Und habt ihr wahre Liebe in euch erschaffen, dann entsteht daraus der Prozess, dass ihr euch selbst kennenlernt und ihr euch also in Selbsterkenntnis ergeht, was jedoch wiederum nur durch euch selbst geschieht, jedoch nicht durch Psychologen oder Psychiater, wie auch nicht durch sonstige Analytiker, durch Philosophen oder solche, die sich gross wähnen, euch bei der Selbsterkenntnis behilflich sein zu können, obwohl sie dazu nicht in der Lage sind; so lernt ihr wahrheitlich auch nichts durch sie und könnt nichts über euer Selbst lernen, sondern im Grunde nur über denjenigen, der euch in der Selbsterkenntnis behilflich sein will.
173) Truly, what your fellow human beings such as psychologists and philosophers, etc. can teach you is not what you are in yourselves, in your inner nature, i.e. in your individuality, rather they can only teach you your characteristics, your peculiarities that proceed out of your inner nature, but not however the individuality, the specialness and uniqueness which go very far beyond the characteristics and are connected to the innermost part of the inner nature, which is of pure spiritual nature and belongs to the realm of the spirit-form in which the true love and the life are guided from out of the creational laws and recommendations. 173) Wahrlich, wessen euch eure Mitmenschen, wie Psychologen und Philosophen usw., belehren können, ist nicht das, was ihr in euch selbst seid, in eurem Wesen resp. in eurer Individualität, sondern es sind nur eure Eigenschaften, eure Eigentümlichkeiten, die aus eurem Wesen hervorgehen, nicht jedoch die Individualität, die Besonderheit und Einmaligkeit, die sehr weit über die Eigenschaften hinausgehen und in Verbindung stehen zum innersten Wesensbereich, der rein geistiger Natur ist und zum Bereich der Geistform gehört, in der die wahre Liebe und das Leben aus den schöpferischen Gesetzen und Geboten heraus geführt werden.
174) Therefore, self-cognition is not the same as self-cognition, and individuality is not the same as individuality, because truthly both things must be separated in themselves, indeed on the one side in the material realm which is outwardly expressed in you human beings and that realm which only acts in the inner, so therefore it is necessary to speak of a material and outwardly directed self-cognition and individuality, and on the other side of an inner one which really only acts through the power of the spirit-form in the inner of the nature and must be laboriously fathomed out in order to let it have an effect in the exterior, material self-cognition and individuality, fragment by fragment, gradually over the course of the life, as a result of which your being human in the real and true sense evolves over time. 174) Selbsterkenntnis ist also nicht gleich Selbsterkenntnis, und Individualität nicht gleich Individualität, denn wahrheitlich müssen beide Dinge in sich getrennt werden, und zwar einerseits in den materiellen Bereich, der in euch Menschen nach aussen zum Ausdruck kommt, und den, der allein im Inneren wirkt, so also von einer materiellen und nach aussen gerichteten Selbsterkenntnis und Individualität gesprochen werden muss, und andererseits von einer inneren, die wirklich nur durch die Kraft der Geistform im Inneren des Wesens wirkt und mühsam ergründet werden muss, um sie im Laufe des Lebens bruchstückweise nach und nach in die äussere, materielle Selbsterkenntnis und Individualität einwirken zu lassen, wodurch sich im Laufe der Zeit euer wahres Menschsein entwickelt.
175) It is only through inner self-cognition, which must be fathomed in the core of your inner nature, that you experience and learn what you actually are in the inner of your own self, which is connected with the spirit-realm, whereas that which is around the core corresponds to that part of the inner nature which is lived as individuality towards the outside and reflects the material character and the personality, out of which the behaviour and the actions and effort are also determined. 175) Erst durch die innere Selbsterkenntnis, die im Kern eures Wesens ergründet werden muss, erfahrt und lernt ihr, was ihr tatsächlich im Innern eures Selbst seid, das mit dem Geistbereich verbunden ist, während das, was um den Kern herum ist, jenem Wesensteil entspricht, der als Individualität nach aussen gelebt wird und das materielle Charakterbild und die Persönlichkeit widerspiegelt, woraus auch das Benehmen und das Handeln und Wirken bestimmt werden.
176) In the entire process, you must also look at and consider and bring forth a revolution of the consciousness, its thoughts as well as their feelings and the thereout resulting psyche-structure which may no longer be dependent on an external authority; however, this process involves great difficulties because what is important in the revolutionising of the consciousness, thoughts, feelings and the psyche, i.e. the entire mental-block is repudiating your own inner and demolished authority in which are anchored all your unimportant perceptions, cognitions, cognisances, your pseudo-knowledge, your practical experiences and the living of those experiences as well as all your views, ideas and ideals; truly, during your lifetime, you had things, happenings and experiences that have taught you something, but you have raised up all that which you have learned to a new authority in you by which you are ruled and which has just as great a destructive effect in you as an authority which is already thousands of years old. 176) Beim ganzen Prozess müsst ihr auch eine Revolution des Bewusstseins, dessen Gedanken wie auch deren Gefühle und das daraus resultierende Psychegefüge betrachten und hervorheben, die nicht mehr von einer äusseren Autorität abhängig sein dürfen; dieser Prozess aber bringt grosse Schwierigkeiten mit sich, denn gilt es doch, beim Revolutionieren des Bewusstseins, der Gedanken, Gefühle und der Psyche resp. beim ganzen Mentalblock eure eigene innere und kaputte Autorität zu verwerfen, in der all eure belanglosen Wahrnehmungen, Erkenntnisse, Kenntnisse, euer Scheinwissen, eure Erfahrungen und deren Erleben sowie all eure Ansichten, Ideen und Ideale verankert sind; wahrlich hattet ihr Zeit eures Lebens Dinge, Geschehen und Erlebnisse, die euch etwas gelehrt haben, doch habt ihr all das, was ihr gelernt habt, in euch zu einer neuen Autorität aufgerichtet, von der ihr beherrscht werdet und die in euch ebenso zerstörerisch wirkt wie eine Autorität, die schon Tausende von Jahren alt ist.
177) Truly, if you want to understand yourselves, both in your innermost, spiritual individuality and in your outward, material individuality, then you require neither the authority that you have built up in yourselves during your lifetime nor that which is thousands of years old, because you are something vital which is in continuous movement and knows no rest; therefore you must not look at yourselves and attempt to fathom yourselves with the dead authority of your up-till-now life, rather you must look at yourselves with the newly created authority, because only through this is it possible for you really to understand everything that lies in the movement and the beauty of the whole. 177) Wahrlich, wenn ihr euch selbst verstehen wollt, sowohl in eurer innersten, geistigen und in eurer äusseren, materiellen Individualität, dann bedürft ihr weder der Autorität, die ihr Zeit eures Lebens in euch aufgebaut habt, noch der, die Jahrtausende alt ist, denn ihr seid etwas Lebendiges, das fliessend und in ständiger Bewegung ist und keine Ruhe kennt; also dürft ihr nicht mit der toten Autorität eures bisherigen Lebens auf euch schauen und euch selbst zu ergründen suchen, sondern ihr müsst mit der neu geschaffenen Autorität auf euch sehen, denn nur dadurch gelingt es euch, alles wirklich zu verstehen, das in der Bewegung und Schönheit des Ganzen liegt.
178) You human beings of Earth, you must be free from any external authority and create your own free and good authority in yourselves, therefore you must also be free from your own old and inadequate authority which you have confusingly and erroneously built up in yourselves during your life; you have to make yourselves free and loosen yourselves from everything that was in your past with regard to your false individuality, because only in this wise do you manage that your mental-block, your consciousness, your thoughts and feelings as well as your psyche are full of energy and power at all times, are in youthfulness and nevertheless shining in wisdom as well as innocent and full of interest; truly, it is only in this status that you can be really attentive and heedful and you can really perceive, observe and recognise everything, and learn thereout. 178) Ihr Menschen der Erde, ihr müsst frei sein von jeder äusseren Autorität und in euch eine eigene freie und gute Autorität schaffen, also müsst ihr auch frei sein von eurer eigenen alten und unzulänglichen Autorität, die ihr wirr und irrig während eures Lebens in euch aufgebaut habt; ihr müsst euch befreien und von all dem lossagen, was in eurer Vergangenheit war in bezug auf eure falsche Individualität, denn nur so schafft ihr es, dass euer Mentalblock, euer Bewusstsein, eure Gedanken und Gefühle sowie eure Psyche immer voller Energie und Kraft sind, in Jugendlichkeit und doch weise erstrahlen sowie unschuldig und voller Interesse sind; wahrlich könnt ihr nur in diesem Zustand wirklich aufmerksam und achtsam sein und könnt wirklich alles wahrnehmen, beobachten, erkennen und daraus lernen.
179) Consider that you human beings of Earth primarily require a conscious and comprehensive consciousness so that you are capable of directly being aware of your inner and innermost life-process and can direct it in such a wise that you do not need to correct it continuously, so that you make progress and the whole is what it shall be, but not what it shall not be. 179) Bedenkt, es bedarf für euch Menschen der Erde vor allem einer bewussten und umfassenden Bewusstheit, damit ihr eines unmittelbaren Gewahrseins eures inneren und innersten Lebensprozesses fähig seid und den so steuern könnt, dass ihr ihn nicht ständig korrigieren müsst, damit ihr voranschreitet und das Ganze das ist, was es sein soll, nicht jedoch das, was es nicht sein soll.
180) If you constantly have to correct your life-process, then you are imposing a censor which is nothing other than again a new authority which once again dictates new things to you which you follow and through which you are again and again wrongly guided. 180) Wenn ihr euren Lebensprozess ständig korrigieren müsst, dann setzt ihr einen Zensor ein, der nichts anderes ist als wiederum eine neue Autorität, die euch wieder neue Dinge diktiert, denen ihr nachlebt und durch die ihr immer wieder falsch geführt werdet.
181) If you really want to learn then you must start a long journey in yourselves through your entire nature, through its shell and inner and through its core, and also through your entire mental-block and consciousness-block, in which case the consciousness, thoughts and feelings are of just as much importance as are the character and personality; and for this journey you must be unweighted, without opinions and prejudices, as well as unburdened through thoughts and feelings and all the rubbish which has built up in you since time immemorial and has burdened you; forget everything that you yourselves have assumed and thought to know about yourselves, and attempt to recognise yourselves in the wise as if you had never seen yourselves before and never heard anything about yourselves previously, so that you approach yourselves in a totally neutral wise and fathom out what and who you truthly are. 181) Wenn ihr tatsächlich lernen wollt, dann müsst ihr eine lange Reise in euch antreten, durch euer ganzes Wesen, durch dessen Hülle und Inneres und durch dessen Kern, so aber auch durch euren ganzen Mentalblock und Bewusstseinsblock, wobei das Bewusstsein, die Gedanken und Gefühle ebenso von grösster Bedeutung sind wie auch der Charakter und die Persönlichkeit; und für diese Reise müsst ihr unbeschwert, ohne Meinungen und Vorurteile sein, wie auch sonst unbelastet durch Gedanken und Gefühle und den ganzen Unrat, der sich seit alters her in euch angesammelt und euch belastet hat; vergesst all das, was ihr wähnt und gedacht habt, selbst über euch zu wissen, und sucht euch zu erkennen in der Weise, als ob ihr euch selbst noch nie gesehen und noch nie etwas von euch gehört hättet, auf dass ihr in völlig neutraler Weise an euch herangeht und ergründet, was und wer ihr wahrheitlich seid.
